Wednesday May 18th, 2022 5:30-8pm
UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs Building
Room 2355
Join the Strategy Center and our friends at Praxis UCLA for a panel and discussion on the future of transit organizing in L.A. Channing Martinez and Eric Mann will explain the Bus Riders Unions’ theory of Transformative Organizing and the future of organizing on the MTA buses and trains and beyond. We’ll speak about the fight for the soul of the our cities, the fight to end MTA’s Anti-Black attacks on working class Black, Latinx, API,and overwhelming women, students, and low to no-income bus riders of which the BRU represents.
We’re grateful to the student organizers in Praxis UCLA and Keenan Do for making the connection and putting in the work to make sure the BRU is included in the free exchange of ideas.
This will be a hybrid event with food provided for in person attendance.
Join to learn from the work of the BRU, hear from others working alongside the BRU to fight transit racism and for next steps on ending Anti-Black policies at the MTA board.
