Young Organizers in Training Collection I
Each book in a collection has been selected to teach lessons on Afro-Centric History that we can use in our organizing today. For the Young Organizers in Training, we want to make sure to begin teaching liberatory ideas from an early age. Join us as we collectively build the Bookstore Holiday Party into an annual Strategy Center tradition.
On December 21st we want to build with you using books as our centerpiece. That means you can either order books between now and December 21 or join us on December 21st in the bookstore for a day full of literary fun!

The Concept and Our Implementation
So here is the idea;
Step 1: Order books from our curated list and you’ll have three options.
- Option 1: Order your books now and leave gift wrapping instructions and pick them up on December 21st at Strategy and Soul bookstore.
- Option 2: Buy the books on December 21st at the Bookstore; we can still gift wrap them, but it will help us if you email us to let us know which books you’ll be interested in.
- Option 3: for National Supporters Visit our website to order your books now: www.strategyandsoulbooks.com make sure to leave gift wrapping instructions and we’ll ship your books to you between now and December 21st.
Step 2: Join us in December 21st for first Bookstore Holiday party
Some of our books include: Black Reconstruction in America by W.E.B. Du Bois, the Sixth Extinction by Elizabeth Colbert, The Watsons Go to Birmingham by Christopher Paul Curtis, and The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine by Rashid Khalidi, and Playbook for Progressives by Eric Mann.
We also have 8 curated book collections including two wonderful young organizers in training (for children) collections. All collections are discounted at 10%.
