Strategy and Soul is proud to collaborate with LA Commons to celebrate the 14th Day of the Ancestors: Festival of Mask, Sunday, June 30th, 2024 from 12-6pm in Leimert Park and we want you to join us!
Day of the Ancestors Festival of Masks
is is a Festival that honors our ancestors and celebrate the rich traditions of the African Diaspora in South Central LA and beyond.
To prepare for the festival there will be a series of workshops featuring West African Diaspora Dance, West African Diaspora Family Music, Song and Sound, and Ancestor Mask Making and Cultural Arts. These free community workshops will be held every Saturday from (May 11- June 29) in Leimert Park.
We are also excited to announce that Strategy and Soul will be host LA Commons in an Ancestor Mask Making Workshop this Friday, June 14, 2024 from 5-7pm at Strategy and Soul. We will learn to make masks and props, and we will wear them as we participate in the procession for the Festival of Mask on June 30th. This will be a lot of fun, and we would love for you Join us this Friday June 14th @5pm.
