Dignidad is a short documentary that follows the story of two domestic worker leaders who fought for and won voluntary health and safety guidelines for California’s domestic workers and employers.

The exclusion of domestic workers from these protections is rooted in the anti-black, Jim Crow-era exclusion of domestic workers from New Deal labor laws in the 1930s.

The evening will also feature powerful cultural performances and opportunities to take collective action.
